As an institute, NGI has an educational branch called SNPed that offers practitioner education and continuing education in nutritional genomics for certified nutrition specialists and other disciplines. SNPed focuses on teaching a systems or functional medicine approach while integrating the complexities of metabolomics and genomics into real world examples and case studies. NGI also houses a research branch called Zebra Diagnostics which focuses on the genomic frequencies of rare disease populations. ZebraDx currently has a strong focus on connective tissue diseases and immunodeficiency syndromes.NGI’s newest branch and entity houses an integrative nutritional genomics database and licensing company called OmicsDx.
